A new year!

Hello! I really hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that 2009 started out great!

I have had a well-deserved, long and nice Christmas. I’ve been spending most of the holiday in my hometown Örnsköldsvik with my family and friends.
We had a lot of snow and the weather was sunny and cold, so I took many nice and long walks on the frozen lake. Me like… On the evening of Christmas eve I sang in the church were I grew up. My brother Richard backed me up with his guitar, Sebastian played the piano and my cousin Patricia sang one song with me. It was nostalgia.

The country shows in November and December went great! The show was filled with energy, humour and dance and off course a lot of great music. I had a blast! And I think everybody that came to see us also had a good time. Thank you Jultorp ranch for having us.
I have posted some pictures from the show. Check it out!

You can also find pictures of me as Lady Marmalade. A performance I did at a big event at Cirkus in Stockholm in November. People didn’t recognize me with all the make up. Do you?

In December I also performed at a charity concert in Örebro together with Paul Mac Innes and the gospel choir Joybells. That was a lot of fun :). The church was packed and having that great chior backing you up was awsome! Joybells rules ; )
Now I’m back in Stockholm and continuing my song writing. I’ve also been in the studio a couple of days trying out some new songs and it feels really good. I think I’m on to something…
So long my friends!

Welcome fall

My favourite season..
Just been out for a walk in the September sun and enjoying the beautiful colours.
I love this time of year.

The summer was great. First I made a trip to Barcelona. I really like that city. And then off course, I played some, mostly round Stockholm but also up north.

In July I got the privilege to play at “Countrygalan” (a country/pop festival) at Skansen, and also in my home town Örnsköldsvik. That was fuuuun..
Great artists performed at the festival; Tommy Körberg, Martin Stenmark, Sarah Dawn Finer and Mats Rådberg. And a nice bunch of celebrities from The US;
Tommy Cash – brother of Johnny Cash, Billy Swan – wrote the song “I can’t help”, James Burton – you can read about him in my latest blog. We met at the Peavey Awards,
Charlie McCoy – a legendary harmonica player. Played together with Bob Dylan, Dolly Parton, Elvis, Roy Orbinson… and last but not least
Chip Young – a famous Nashville producer.
So, I was in good hands!!! Thank you guys for a great festival.

Now I’m sitting at the local café “Skvallertorget” (Gossip square) out in the September sun and having my favourite lunch, salmon salad, and writing some lyrics for my next hit song .
Life is gooood.

Welcome to my blog

Alot has happened lately in my life and I will try to tell you the short version :).
Here we go..

Finally my album is finished!
It was somewhere in the early spring when I received the album from Nashville and first held it in my hand.
It was a good feeling. My debut album, Starting all over.
I must admit that I was very proud and happy.

One thing led to another and before I knew it I was in Mississippi promoting the album.
My release concert was held at The Jazz and Java Café in Madison and a lot of people came to listen. Even the mayor of Mississippi was there. Thank you for coming Mary!
The ABC news was there too, filming the concert and showed a piece on the ten o’clock news.
I can tell you it’s a strange feeling to watch yourself on American TV… How could that be me?

Later that week I performed at the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi together with the band Soul fire. It was a lot of fun!
Next door, at the same time Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban had a concert! I didn’t get a chance to see them but anyway.. J.
They are both my favourites.

In Mississippi I also hosted a cooking show called The Auditorium together with Chef Nathan Glenn. We made sweet potato crab fish cake.
It was yummy! We also got to talk about my album and career.

I had a great time over there and can’t wait to get back there.
Check out the pictures from my trip to The States!

Back to Sweden and getting ready for the release concert in Stockholm.
It was held at Nalen, April 15.
It was a great night! I had my friends there, my family and the concert went really good. It was just super fun! Thank you all for coming and making this night perfect! I will always remember this.

You can also find pictures from the Stockholm release.

Well, that’s it for now.
Lots of love /Beatrice

Duvan cup

Last week I played in Lycksele at Duvan cup’s jubilee concert.
It was me, Daniel Lindström, Christoffer Hiding and Bengt Johansson.
Me and the boys… ; )
Lycksele was cold, about -20 degrees Celsius (-4 F), but at the ice arena were we played the heat was on!! It was a big crowd, about a thousand and I gave all I had. Sweaty and fun.
The band was from Umeå and lead by Erik Wäcklén. They really rocked the place! Thank’s guys (and girl) for a great concert

I love going up north. Love the snow, the silence, the woods and the simplisity. Think I need to book a trip to the mountains and get me some skiing..

Bye for now!
